Upcoming City Council Meeting: June 2, 2025

May 30, 2025

The next City Council meeting is Monday, June 2, at 7:00 PM. We’re sharing a preview of the meeting, but you can view the full agenda and packet at berkleymi.gov/councilagendasminutes.

This meeting includes a matter of approving a Charitable Solicitation Permit application submitted by Disarmory Ministries for their plan to destroy firearms every Friday and Saturday through November 1, 2025 in the parking lot of Greenfield Presbyterian Church. The organization will have a donation bucket placed on the property. Council will also approve a dedication ceremony in honor of former Mayor Maybelle Fraser and the purchase of a plaque to be placed on the City gazebo in her honor, as she was instrumental in its construction.

At the end of the meeting, Council will receive a presentation from the City Manager and Assistant to the City Manager highlighting the progress that staff has made in the first quarter of 2025 toward achieving the objectives of the City’s Strategic Framework. The Strategic Framework was passed by City Council in January 2025 and helps us make decisions about how to allocate our resources for the best benefit of the community as well as track and report our progress.  More information is available at berkleymi.gov/strategicframework.
