The next City Council meeting is Monday, July 7, at 7:00 PM. We’re sharing a preview of the meeting, but you can view the full agenda and packet at berkleymi.gov/councilagendasminutes.

 

The evening will begin with a Work Session at 6 PM in the Public Safety conference room, pertaining to a discussion about entering into the MiLife consortium for Berkley employees. No decisions are made during Work Sessions, and these meetings are open to the public but not recorded or broadcast.

This regular meeting includes a matter of authorizing Mayor Dean to execute the regular, annual contract between SMART and the City of Berkley for fiscal year 2026, which began on July 1. This contract is for Municipal Credit and Community Credit funds that help us provide public transportation services for seniors. The meeting also includes a matter of approving updated City Council Rules and Order of Procedure to align with the recently accepted Boards & Commissions Handbook.
