Upcoming City Council Meeting: August 4, 2025

July 31, 2025

The next City Council meeting is Monday, August 4, at 7:00 PM. We’re sharing a preview of the meeting, but you can view the full agenda and packet at berkleymi.gov/councilagendasminutes.

The evening will begin with a work session at 5:30 PM, located in the second-floor conference room of our Public Safety building at 2395 12 Mile. Work sessions are open to the public, but not recorded or broadcast, and no formal decisions are made at these meetings. The topic of this meeting is reviewing legal services proposals received by the City.

At the regular meeting, City Council will vote to approve a proposal for on-site employee training and process/system enhancements across City departments from BS&A Software. BS&A is currently utilized across departments for tasks including tracking expenses and budgets, managing permit applications, and employee time sheets. Various departments have identified that, with proper staff training, existing BS&A software features could eliminate manual work and improve accuracy, ultimately allowing our staff to better serve our residents.
